Elsie Sullivan Poulsen, age 99, died Tuesday, August 14, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born June 3, 1891 in Pinckney, North Carolina to John Ruffin and Mary Sullivan. Married Ezra James Poulsen June 11, 1913 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died December 31, 1980. Elsie was a charter member of the Democratic Women's League. Active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Relief Society and the MIA. She sang with the Tabernacle Choir.

Survived by son, Dr Theodore S. Poulsen, Orland, California; daughter, Virginia Arronco, Salt Lake City, Utah. Preceded in death by three children, Edgerton E. Poulsen, James Robert Poulsen, Mary Lou Poulsen; beloved grandson, Duard Theodore Poulsen. Also survived by eight grand children and a sister, Mary Whiting, Mapleton, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 17, 1990, 2 p.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
