FISHERVILLE
Couple Die Nineteen Years Apart to the Hour
Fisherville, Feb. 5 (1924) - Again the Death Angel visits our midst and this time claims Mrs. Ellen Nicholson, who had been in declining health for sometime, having been confined to her room for three or four months, and to her bed for five weeks, fell asleep at 8 o'clock Thursday night, January 31. A peculiar coincidence connected with her death was the passing away of her husband, Mr. James Nicholson at the same hour and the same day of the month just nineteen years ago with the burial also at the same hour and same day of the month. Mrs. Nicholson was a patient sufferer and often expressed appreciation to those who so faithfully ministered to her wants and who did everything that loving hands could do to add to her comfort. She was a devoted and loving mother, a kind, good neighbor and will be missed by a large circle of friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Daughtery at 2 P.M. Saturday after which the remains were laid to rest in the family in the family burial ground at home, and the many beautiful flowers that shrouded her resting place expressed the great love and esteem in which she was held. Deceased is survived by six children, Mr. Will Nicholson of Louisville; Mrs. Dow Weller Parfitt of Jacksonville, Florida; Mrs. Marie Winsor of Jeffersontown; Misses Cleo, Carrie and Mr. Ed Nicholson the latter three living at home with their mother. Two grand-daughters Mrs. Elizabeth Kennedy of Chicago, Mrs. Margaret Forbes of Louisville; one grandson and two great grandsons.
