CHARLIE J, DILMORE
Charlie J. Dilmore, 70, of Magee, died June 3, 1971, at Mississippi Baptist Hospital, Jackson, following a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at 4 p.m. from Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. C. M. Grayson and the Rev. George Harper officiating. Interment was at Sharon Cemetery.
Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The Simpson County native was born May 2, 1901, and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Mae Maddox Dilmore; one son, J.W, Dilmore of Canton; four daughters, Mrs. Charlie Mae Nichols, Magee, Mrs. Jewel Perry, Laurel, Mrs. Bonnie Tanner, Magee, and Mrs. Louise Mangum, Magee; three brothers, Archie Dilmore, Magee, Earnest Dilmore, Jackson, and Mitchell Dilmore, Magee; one sister, Miss Myrtle Dilmore, Magee; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Charles Dilmore, Jimmy McNalr, W. F. Hughes, Charles Runnels, Earnest Fortenberry, Jeff Prince, and Jay Kennedy.
