Clinton Nick

Services for Clinton Nick, 86, of Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Lloyd James Funeral Home chapel with Bishop C.W. Gorforth, the Rev. Rudy Bond and Alfredo Salvatore officiating.

Entombment is in Cathedral in the Pines Mausoleum.

Mr. Nick passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, in Tyler. He was a dedicated husband, father and a faithful servant of the Lord.

He was born on Sept. 7, 1923, in Colfax, La., to the late Johnny and Angie Dubois Nick.

He was a self-employed paint contractor. He was a member of New Life Worship Center.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Robby Glenn Nick, Bobby Glenn Nick and Anjanette Nick Herring.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ida Nick; children, Janice and Tommy Powell, Bobby and Suzan Nick, Glenn Nick, Gaylia and Bryan Pride, Terry and Cindy Nick; brother, Howard Nick; sisters, Lucille Antee, Laverne Johns, Viola Smith; grandchildren, Tom Powell Jr., Greg Powell, Tammy Powell, Sandy Crouch, Bobby Nick Jr., Justin Nick, Monica Goguen, Michelle Dominicci, Mysti Pride, Cameron Nick and Chase Nick; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Tom Powell Jr., Greg Powell, Bobby Nick Jr., Justin Nick, Cameron Nick and Chase Nick.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
