Mrs. Bertha Marie Baldwin, 87, of Magee died Wednesday, April 15, 1987 at Magee General Hospital. The Smith County native was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was a retired housewife, and was in Hillcrest Health Center 11 years.
Services wree (sic were) held at 11 a m Friday, April 17, 1987 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Drew Blanton and Rev. Timothy Dye officiating. Burial was at Sharon Cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons: Mr. C.G. Baldwin of Rt. 4, Mt. Olive and Mr. Thomas Hubert Baldwin of Rt. 4, Mt. Olive; three daughters, Mrs. Curtis "Jewell" Cockrell, Mrs. Dennis "Ima Lou" Cockrell and Miss Carolyn Baldwin, all of Magee; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Phillips and Mrs. Ruth Easterling, both of Morton; 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Larry Cockrell, Dwight Cockrell, Gary Cockrell, Dale Cockrell, Charles Baldwin, and Kenneth Baldwin.
