Meridian, Miss., Aug. 29 --- Funeral services will be held at the Webb Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for LYNN HUDSON ARCHER, age 79, prominent in business, church, fraternal and philanthropic circles of Meridian, Mississippi. He died at this home in Meridian late Sunday night after attending the union church services on the First Presbyterian Church lawn. The Rev. J. C. McQueen, minister of the Central Presbyterian Church, his pastor, and the Rev. D. H. Griffin, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.

Mr. Archer was a firm member of Archer and Davis Furniture Company. He was secretary-treasurer of the Meridian Light and Railway Company, predecessor of the Mississippi Power Company, was past president of the Exchange Club, former director and secretary of the Scottish Rites bodies, an elder in the Central Presbyterian Church and a 32nd degree Mason.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Roberta McArthur Archer; two sisters, Miss Ellie Archer of Meridian, Mississippi and Mrs. J. L. Williams, Laurel, Mississippi; two nieces, Mrs. Constant H.
