ROSA ANNA ORR SHADLEY
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Williamson River Church for Mrs. Rosa Anna Orr Shadley, 88, well-known resident of Klamath County for 69 years who died Monday in the Dalles.
Mrs. Shadley, who had resided with her daughter, Nettie Shough, in Dufer for several years, was born August 25, 1869, in Oakrun, Calif.
She married William Shadley and in 1908, the couple came to Klamath County by horse and wagon. They lived in Chiloquin for many years prior to moving to Bray Mill.
Following the death of her husband in 1938, Mrs. Shadley moved to Sprague River, where she was known for her embroidery and crochet work, and her art of making artificial flowers. She also took an active part in the Sprague River Friends Church.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Shadley is survived by a daughter, Pearl Coburn, Klamath Falls; another daughter, Nellie Frazier; a son, Lee, both of Chico, Calif; and another son, Albert of Chiloquin; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
