Many hearts in this community were saddened by news of the passing of D>L. Daily at his home in Shell City, Missouri, late Tuesday evening. Mrs. Ray Cochran,Curtis Daily and Mrs. Gearld Leonard are the only local residents of the family of eight reared by him and his wife, Susie in this community. While residing here, "Link" as he was affectionately and familiarly called was highly respected and prosperous farmer and stock raiser, shrewd but honest and fair in all his dealings and his word once given, as good as a bond. Coming here in the early nineteen hundreds from the same section of the country as the Robert Hunsicker and Joe Reed families all settling close by as neighbors. "Link" being a cousin of Mrs. Joe Reed, her husband likewise a cousin of Robert Hunsicker, gave the families kinship ties as well as those of friendship, uniting them in may happy associations and pleasant family gatherings. Their fine family of six boys and two girls aside from those previously mentioned are: Homer of Hastings, Conner of Hillrose, Colorado; Herman of Boulder Colorado; Frank of Oregon; James of Gallatin; Missouri and an adopted daughter, Vivian, Mrs. Russell Stevenson of Tarkio, Missouri, To all of whom our most sincere sympathy is extended.
