CLARKSVILLE — Josef Edward Hausler, 43, of Annona, Precinct 4 Commissioner for Red River County, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, from an accident near Bogata.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. John Purviance and Rev. Dink Benton officiating. Avery Masonic Lodge No. 921 AF&AM is to conduct Masonic Services in Lindeman Chapel following the funeral service. Burial follows in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family receives friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born July 28, 1967, in Greenville, to Edward and Janet Baird Hausler. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1985, received his BS from Tarleton State University in 1990 and was a registered Surveyor for the State of Texas. He owned Haulser Surveying, loved hunting, fishing and trapping. He was of the Christian Faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Baird Hausler on Nov. 29, 1987.

Survivors include his wife, Nikki Hemingway Hausler; his daughters and the loves of his life, Addison, Cassie and Mayson Haulser all of Annona; father and step-mother, Eddie and Bonnie Hausler of Boxelder; sister, Eydie Hausler; grandmother, Lucille Knight of Clarksville; step-brothers, Donald, Jeff, Marc and Patrick; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers are Tim Shimpock, Roy "Bubba" Ervin, David Grigg, Scotty Rhea, Scott King and David Barnett.

Honorary pallbearers are James Dean Floyd, Wayne Redding and Precinct 4 employees of Red River County.

The family asks that memorials be sent to the Boxelder Cemetery Association, C/O Jamie Huddleston, 11864 FM 909, Bogata, Texas, 75417.
