Death: Aug. 12, 2010, USA

Adams, Maxine Lee (Raney) 80 03/07/1930 08/12/2010

Maxine was one of three children born to Virgil Clarence Raney and Mary Esther (Otto) Raney.

Her sister, Yetta Gene, and brother, Don, both preceded her in death.

Maxine was born in Pasadena, Calif., and lived in Southern California until her move to Oregon during the 1960s. She lived in West Linn for the past 42 years.

For several years after graduating from high school in California, Maxine worked in the fashion and photography professions as a model.

She soon found her true calling, as a homemaker, wife, and mother, which is what she loved best. In addition to raising her large family, Maxine also found time to do volunteer work for charitable organizations including Special Olympics, West Linn Lady Lions, and The Christie School in Lake Oswego.

She also loved to travel. Some highlights of her travel experiences with her husband, Richard, were Europe, New York, New Orleans, the American Southwest, California and Northwest coasts, and Hawaii.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Richard P. Adams; seven children; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
