Obituary - Salem News, Ohio, Tuesday, 1 May 1928. Mrs. Margaret M Sheets, 79, died at 5pm Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lee Saunders, Vine St. after a lingering illness of nine years.
Mrs Sheets, Daughter of Abijah and Elizabeth McLean, was born Oct. 7, 1848, at Lisbon. She was the last of a family of nine children. In 1873, she was united in marriage with Benjamin E. Sheets of East Palestine, who died in 1890. Mrs. Sheets was a member of the Christian Church at Lisbon.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Saunders of Salem, and Mrs. Adams of Lisbon; also several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was help at 3 pm Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Adams, Lisbon, in charge of Rev. R. J. Bennett, pastor of the Christian church, and Rev. G B Schlosser of the Nazarene Church; interment in the Lisbon Cemetery.
