Agnes Solie, 83, of Crookston, died at Riverview Hospital in Crookston Tuesday morning.

She was born Jun 1, 1901, in Gentilly to Anselme and Delima LaBonte Charron. She attended Gentilly schools and later worked for the Woolworth Company in Crookston.

She marrid Joseph Demarais in 1923 in Crookston. After his death in 1927, she married Oliver M. Solie December 6, 1930.

The couple farmed in Kertsonville and Tilden Townships until moving to Crookston in 1949.

In 1977 she moved to the Riverview Nursing Home in Crookston.

She was a longtime member of the Hafslo Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She transferred her membership to Trinity Lutheran Church when Hafslo closed. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church ALCW.

Survivors include two sons, Jerome of Rochester, and James O. Solie of Crookston; a daughter, Darleen Heiberg of Crookston; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Charron of Crookston; three sisters, Zelia Murphy, Laura Olson, and Marion Heydt, all of Crookston and several nieces and nephews.
