The Choteau Acantha, 12 March 1931
(From Great Falls Tribune dated March 5:

Andrews Death Due to Heart Failure. Was Pioneer in Nebraska and the Father of 17 Children, All of Whom Are Living

The body of Adelbert B. Andrews, 79, who died suddenly at his ranch 8 miles east of Judith Gap, was brought to Harlowton by Undertaker Roy Wilson and funeral services were held at Judith Gap with the Rev. Mr. Lower of that city officiating.
Mr. Andrews was in apparent good health until the minute of his death. He was about to start from his house to direct some work and had a heart attack and death being instantaneous.
He was an old-timer in Wheatland county, a successful farmer, miller, and business man. He was born at Providence, R. I., moving with his parents when 2 years old to the then territory of Minnesota. At the close of the Civil war, the family moved to Tennessee, where he lived until he was a young man. He moved to Nebraska in 1876 and homesteaded near Minden, where he lived for 40 years, serving several terms as treasurer of Kearney county.
His first marriage was to Miss Ollie Simones at Minden and four children were born. She died and he married Miss Jessie Kellie. There were 13 more children born and all 17 children survive, with the widow.
Mr. Andrews came to Montana in 1911, directly to Judith Gap, and settled on the same farm on which the family lives now. He moved to Choteau four years after coming to Montana and engaged in the milling business for 12 years, returning to his Wheatland county ranch to spend his declining years. He was a member of the Christian church.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ethel Adams, Mitchell, Neb.; Tracy M. Andrews, Great Falls; Mrs. Edith A. Norton, Fort Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Jessie Hanson, Monterey Park, Calif.; Ruth M. Andrews, Saratoga, Wyo.; Mrs. Bernice Passmore, Pendroy; Sarles B. Andrews, Los Angeles; Uriel B. Andrews and Gladys E. Andrews, Los Angeles; Grace May Andrews, Fort Collins; Adelbert B. Andrews, Jr., Gertrude R. Andrews, John Blake Andrews, James Bruce Andrews, Nathan H. Andrews, Clyde D. Andrews and Charles Byron Andrews, all of Judith Gap.
