[Note: November is an error as Mr. Elliott died in October. His obituary states his funeral was October 5th.]

He was the son of Rufus Eliot and Elizabeth Miller Eliot.
[The burial place of his father, Rufus Eliot is unknown. However, a memorial page for him states the following: He was a Presbyterian and other family members were buried in this cemetery [Old Presbyterian Cemetery] . There is no record of his burial here since records were burned in a fire, except family history passed through the years.] No obituary for him has been found in District of Columbia newspapers.

On December 24, 1828 as Lynde Elliott, he married Emma Clark at the District of Columbia.
They were the parents of two children.
On September 18, 1848 as Lynde Eliot, he married Jane M. Robison at Jefferson, Ohio.
They had no children.

He married second, Jane Dyke of Manchester, England who died in 1847. He married third, September 18, 1848, Jane, daughter of William Robinson of Bloomsburgh, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. She was born January 13, 1819; graduated at Steubenville, Ohio Ladies' Seminary.

Jonathan Lay, died in infancy at Washington, D.C.
Henry Clay, born April 18, 1831; died April 16, 1893. Clerk in the Navy at Washington, D.C.

Yesterday morning, at half-past seven o'clock, in the 48th year of his age, Lynde Elliott, a clerk in the Pension Office. The procession of his funeral will leave his late resident on K Street, near 26th West, tomorrow, (Sunday) at two o'clock PM.
