EDWARD A. BERG DIES AT HOME IN NEW RICHLAND

NEW RICHLAND

Edward A. Berg, New Richland, died July 28 at 1:20 a.m. at his home after a six month illness of cancer. Berg, who was 79 years old, lived his entire life in New Richland township.

He was born Feb. 5, 1875 on a farm near St. Olaf Lake the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew A. Berg.

On March 11,1897 he married Rangdi Fingarson of Lemond at the LeSueur River church. They lived on a farm 3 miles south of New Richland for 50 years moving to New Richland in 1947.

He is survived by his wife, Rangdi; Three sons, Raymond, Morris and Oscar; Three daughters, Mrs. C.E. (Minnie) Gulbrandson, Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Romer, and Mrs. Arthur (Ella) Sytrand; Four sisters, Mrs. Dorthea Johnson, Mrs. Aletha Bakken, Mrs. Thea Langlie, all of New Richland, and Mrs. Henry Roberts of Proctor; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1922 and his father in 1926, four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Tyrholm Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church in New Richland of which he was a life member.

Burial will be at the St. Olaf cemetery.
