Ervin Adcock Sr., age 78, of Austin, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. Ervin was born in Austin, Texas to A.E. and Edna Mae Adcock on May 29, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his loving wife of 41 years, Patsy Ruth Ahrlett, the mother of his five children. Ervin later married his second wife Patsy Crooks with whom he was able to spend 17 wonderful years, before her passing last December. Ervin is survived by: Dianne and Monte Scales of Conway, AR, Debbie and Mike Miears of Elizabethton, TN, Ervin Adcock Jr. of San Antonio, Donald and Julia Adcock of Cedar Park and Denise and Ronnie Bland of Austin. Ervin left behind seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory, Rick and Julie Crooks of Georgetown, Ken and Karen Crooks of Buda, Larry and Judy Crooks of Round Rock, plus many grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ervin loved crossword puzzles, playing dominoes, reading, home cooked meals with his family, and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2010 with Minister Lee Henry officiating at Hyde Park Church of Christ, 310 West 43rd in Austin.
