"Frahm's Body Arrives; Final Rites Are Set War Victim To Be Buried Wednesday Afternoon
Military funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from The Gehrig Funeral Home for William W. Frahm, who was killed in action in France on July 15, 1944. Interment will be in the Sidney cemetery. Pallbearers, all former service men, will be Leslie Bentley, Hickman Kilham, Gerald Pitman, Joseph Hahler, Weldon Stewart and Gordon Niemoller. Frahm's body arrived yesterday afternoon from the graves registration center at Kansas City, where it was sent after it's arrival at New York City. At the time of his death, Frahm was a sergeant with the 134th Infantry. He enlisted in Sidney, February 7, 1941. A native of this county, Sgt. Frahm was born November 25, 1914, at Sunol, the son of Fred J. and Mable Frahm. He spent most of his like in this community, attending the Sidney schools. He was married February 6, 1943 at Kimball to Dora T. Hemmer.
