Nannie Belle "Sal" Brown (1914-2010) | Visit Guest Book

DENISON - Nannie "Sal" Belle Brown, age 96, entered into eternal life Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma.

Mrs. Brown was born March 21, 1914 in Colbert, Okla. the daughter of Frank and Rosa (Pierson) Cooper. Sal married the love of her life, Oscar Leslie Brown February 1, 1930 in Colbert, Okla. Sal worked for Levi Strauss for 30 years and was a member of Colbert United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her loving family: son, Johnny Brown and wife, Kaye of Denison; son, Bobby G. Brown and wife, Debbie of Denison; daughter, Emma Jean Parrish of Colbert, Okla.; daughter, Jewell Sharp of Denison and daughter, Jane Weger and husband, Carl of Colbert, Okla.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Mildred Sharp of Rowlett. Sal was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Oscar Brown; son, Dennis Brown; sisters, Wilma Cooley and Christine Brown; brothers, Frank Cooper, Murray Cooper; and sons-in-law, Gerald Sharp and Calvin Parrish.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Colbert United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Brown and Rev. Gloria McGee officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Okla. Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Fisher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joey Weger, Jeff Weger, Neil Brown, Josh Brown, Dale Wood and Jerry Leatherwood.
