Mesa Florist Called By Death

MESA, June 24 — Mrs. Amanda Irene Watson, 59 years old, widely known Mesa florist, died at 2 p. m. today in the family home, 204 East First Avenue, after a long illness.

Her husband, C. E. Watson, and six sons and daughters, Alma, Sanders, Eva, Erva, Mary and Roy, who is filling a Latter-Day Saints Church mission in Argentina, survive, as do her father, Walter Cox, Fairview, Utah, and eight brothers and sisters.

A native of Fairview, Mrs. Watson and her family came to Mesa 14 years ago from American Fork, Utah. She had been engaged in flower culture while here. The entire family is active in church work, Mr. Watson being on the staff of the Arizona Temple.

Funeral arrangements are awaiting word from relatives in Utah.

Mesa Woman's Rites Scheduled

MESA, June 25—Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Irene Watson, wife of C. E. Watson, will be held at 4 p. m. Wednesday from Mesa First Ward Chapel, with Bishop M. L. Griner officiating.

Interment will be in the Mesa Cemetery.

Mrs. Watson, who was engaged in flower culture here for 14 years, died yesterday in the family home on East First Avenue after a long illness.

She is survived by her husband and seven children, all here with exception of one son, Roy, who is filling a Latter-Day Saints Church mission in Argentina.

Other survivors are her father, Walter Cox, and eight brothers and sisters in Fairview, Utah.
