George was born in Battles, Arkansas, near Sidney. He married Nelia Carpenter on January 1, 1908. They had 7 children: Malissa, Mark, Winnie, Eldredge, Vernon, James(Calvin) and Noble. As of this writing Winnie remains. In 1927 they lived in Belvidere working on a farm by Thompson Creek Kiowa County, Kansas. Moved to California in 1942 and worked at Lockheed both of them. He worked until he was 70yrs. Died of a severe stroke in 1965. George met Nelia at a "social" in Sidney, Arkansas. They were married without "fuss and feathers." George was born on a farm near Sidney Ark. They never had a honeymoon. "Just kept on building a fence the day after the wedding." George was one of eight children. Worked at Lockheed from 1942 to 1957.
