Genetta Mae Berwick of Oroville, CA, passed away with family by her side on August 11, 2010 in Paradise, CA. She was born to Birdie and Dewey Boatman on April 24, 1924 in Tipton, OK.
Genetta is survived by her husband, A.J. "Pete" Berwick of Oroville. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Louetta Bentley and son-in-law, Kenneth, of Paradise and her daughter, Clidean Dunn and son-in-law, J.C., also of Paradise.
She leaves a loving granddaughter, Amy Lacey and grandson-in- law, James Lacey of Chico, along with three great-grandchildren, James Jr., Caroline and Grant.
She is mourned by her grandson, Collin Keefer and preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Keefer, both of Oregon.
Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Wanda Steadman of Banning, CA, and brothers, Arland Boatman, Anderson and Bill Boatman of Fontana, CA. Aunt Genetta will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
An avid card player, Genetta's pinochle club friends were close to her heart. She enjoyed homemaking, growing flowers, quilting, baking, sewing and canning. Visiting with family and loved ones made her happy.
