Julian Served as a Technical Sergeant & Engineer on C-46D #44-77420, 56th Squadron, 375th Troop Carrier Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Hardeman County, Tennessee prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 29, 1942 at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Shipping and receiving clerk and also as Single, without dependents.

C-46D # 44-77420 took off from Biak Island, Indonesia on a Cargo & Passenger mission to Dulag, Leyte, Philippines. They were not heard from after takeoff and assumed to have crashed at sea during the war.

Julian was declared "Missing In Action" on this flight.

He was awarded the Air Medal.

Missing on a cargo and passenger transport flight after departing Biak Island, Indonesia, with an intended destination of Dulag, Leyte, Philippines during World War II. The aircraft was not heard from again. All ten aboard were declared Missing In Action.
