Morris served as a Second Lieutenant & Bombardier on B-25H #43-4360, 491st Bomber Squadron, 341st Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Jefferson County, Washington prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on February 17, 1941, prior to the war, in Tacoma, Washington. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as an Architect and also as Single, without dependents.

B-25H #43-4360 took off from Yangkai, China on a bombing mission. After completing the mission they ran into extremely bad weather and are believed to have crash at sea.

Morris was declared "Missing In Action" on this mission during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
