He was the co-pilot of a plane that was within 1 hour of their destination with the remains of 38 war POW's. They were never heard from again. His Widow would live almost a half a century never knowing what happened to her beloved husband. He and Venus Aurora Heminway were married in Covelo, California on July 14, 1930.
