B-24J #42-100292 fell out of formation, for an unknown reason, and crashed into the Coral Sea 9 miles east of Innisfail, Queensland, Australia. All 15 on the plane were lost.

Solmu was declared "Missing In Action" in the "Line Of Duty" on this flight during the war.
