He lived in Clover Hill Magisterial District, Appomattox County, Virginia.

Enlisted on May 2, 1941 in Richmond, Virginia, when he was 25 years of age.

He had a Grammar school education and worked as a Carpenter.

He was a Private.

He died on the Beaches of Normandy.
