Jason is the son of Chester & Martha Martin. He was the youngest of two brothers. He loved for family and friends to get together, eat and just have a good time. Young, old or in between, Jason loved you and always had a big smile.

Jason strived to do his very best at whatever he endeavored. As his parents, we thank God for giving him to us to love and care for. We are glad to say he is our son. In 13 1/2 years he gave us so many wonderful memories.

Jason died of injuries received in an automobile accident. Services were held at First Baptist Church of Diana with the Revs. Dale Wicker and Harvey Lewis officiating. Pallbearers were Larry Edge, Terry Carson, Jimmy Listenbee, Henry Winn, Sherman Stephens, James Walker, Jim Winn and Leeland Sanford. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Roberts, Brady Traywick, Hank Winn, Shane Rohrbach, Brian Dehart and Jason Garrett. Burial followed in Mattox Cemetery under the direction of Loyd Funeral Home.

Born in Gregg Co., Jason was a student at New Diana Junior High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Diana. He was a member of the high school band for two years, and was on the junior high basketball and football teams.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandfather, Floyd Martin. In addition to his parents and brother, Craig of Diana, he is survived by his grandparents, Chester L. Sr., Addie Zell Martin and Eleanor Martin of Diana; aunt and uncle, Mary and Jimmy Eisel of Addison, Pa.; and two cousins, Clint and Dallas Jones.
