Son of Mabel M. Lux.

Alfred, who resided at 1105 East Thirteenth Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Private with Company C, 362nd Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on January 14, 1941 in Trenton, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as an Office machine operator and also as being Single, without dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" in the Mediterranean area during the war. He was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

He had served in the Army for three years and six months at the time of his death.
