Birth: Mar. 14, 1942
Death: Aug. 4, 2010

NORRIDGEWOCK - David A. Arsenault, 68, beloved husband, father and grandfather, joined his mother in heaven on her birthday Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010. David passed at Redington-Fairview Hospital in Skowhegan after a three-year battle with cancer. His wife Brenda, son Blaine, and nieces Kim and Stephanie were all at his side during his last few days.
David was born at home on March 14, 1942, in Madison, son of Arthur and Ethelyn (Corson) Arsenault.
David grew up in Madison where he enjoyed fishing along the Kennebec River, but spent most summers with his Uncle Jimmy working on his farm in Mercer. He graduated from Madison High School and shortly afterward enlisted in the Navy. He served four years, mostly at sea on several aircraft carriers. While enlisted, he served with the 174th Fighter Squadron as a crew chief. David loved the sea and traveled to many countries during his enlistment.
Shortly after returning home David started working at Madison Paper Industries, where he dedicated 30 years until retiring in 2005.
David rejoined his parents Arthur and Ethelyn and his sisters Susan Waldron and Nancy Gilbert.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; son Blaine and eight children that he raised and loved as his own, Donny Landry, Rusty Landry, Joey Landry, Jamie Landry, Niki Laflin, Val Gordon, Stacy Laflin and Beth Laflin; grandchildren Kylie and Caden Arsenault, Tyler and Jake Greaney, Ricky and Isaac Gordon and Natalie Krenisky; sister Penny Kymalainen; nieces Kimberly Waldron and Stephanie Steele; nephews David and Marc Gilbert; other family members to include spouses, children and grandchildren; and special mention to honorary son TJ Greaney and ice-fishing buddy Linwood Ledger.
Interment will be at the East Mercer Cemetery in Mercer. (Morning Sentinel 8/7/2010)
