Awarded the Air Medal with 8 Oak Leaf Clusters, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

Missing Air Crew Reports (MACR) 12642 [operating base: Andrews Field, 4 NM west northwest of Braintree, Essex, England]: B-26B-30-MA (serial #41-31888) "War Eagle" failed to Return (FTR) Cologne mission. Hit by flak (AAA) below cockpit, fell out of formation into unrecoverable spin and exploded on impact with ground on highway adjacent to target at Zülpich. No chutes observed, 6 x Killed in Action (KIA) 23-Feb-45 (aircrew):
