Son of Mrs. Ellen Anderson who resided in Buffalo, New York.

George served as a Private First Class, 175th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Buffalo, Erie County, New York & was a member of the New York National Guard prior to the war.

His National Guard unit was called into full time active Army service on September 16, 1940, prior to the war, from Buffalo, New York. He was noted, at that time, as being employed as an Architect and also as Single, without dependents.

George was "Killed In Action" near Jülich, Germany during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster.
