Emil was a Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army Air Forces 61st Squadron, 314th Troop Carrier Group.

Service # 32455476.

He entered the Service from New Jersey.

Awards: Air Medal, Purple Heart.

He was aboard a B-24-H Liberator bomber, serial number 42-95095, which crashed at the Fairy Lochs near Gairloch, Wester Ross, Scotland with the loss of all 9 crew members and 6 passengers. It was returning to the USA.
Six of the victims are interred at Cambridge.
