Born about 1924, to Lyman and Mabel (maiden name Riddle?) Ceely. Died December 20, 1943 while serving in World War II. He graduated from the Allendale School on June 16, 1937. He served in World War II as a Staff Sergeant, and was lost in action on December 20, 1943 while flying on a combat mission to Bremen, Germany.Military, Staff Sergeant (Technician Third Grade) , Tail Gunner, 388th Bomb Group. Shot down on 20 December 1943 in B-17 #4231084. Killed in Action (KIA). Distinguished Flying Cross/ Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters/ Purple Heart.

Notes: During bombing raid targeting Bremen on 20 December, 1943 a B-17 was seen from the formation falling behind with the fuselage in flames.

The body of bombardier T.L. Toolin was washed ashore at Emmerlev Klev. On 21 July 1944 he was buried in the cemetery (in Højer) by the Wehrmacht without ecclesiastical assistance. The rest of the crew, 9 men, appear to have perished."
