Jack was a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces - 338th Bomber Squadron, 96th Bomber Group, Heavy

Jack entered the service from Kentucky.

He was awarded the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart

He was survived by his parents; his father, Allen Percy Adair Jr. was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army in WWI.

Jack’s mother was Saydee Ray Adair, nee Gibbens

Jack had one brother, Lieutenant Colonel Allen Percy Adair III who died 5 July 1999.
