Frank served as a Staff Sergeant & Radio Operator on B-17G "Anoxia Queen" #42-39819, 568th Bomber Squadron, 390th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Bronx County, New York prior to the war.

Frank was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-17 was hit by German flak and crashed about 12 miles West of Ostend Harbor, Belgium in the North Sea during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.
