Eliza died in 1871 and Elias remarried twice afterwards.
1820 Oct 8 Birth: Eliza Moore was born in North Adams, Vermont. She is the daughter of Dr. Paul & Eunice (Bacon) Moore. When she was but a small child she came with her parents to the state of New York on the shores of Lake George, where she spent her early girlhood. When she had reached the age of fourteen her parents emigrated west and settled in Hancock County, Indiana. Eliza began teaching at the age of sixteen. Her father purchased 240 acres of land only a few miles from the town of Greenfield. When Eliza was about eighteen years of age she met and formed the acquaintance of Wiley Walker. The acquaintance formed, grew and finally ripened into an attachment which ended in their being united in marriage March 25, 1840, the union resulting in the birth of seven sons and two daughters. All of the children were born in Hancock County near Greenfield, Indiana.
After the death of her husband, Eliza followed several of her sons & a daughter to Shelton, Nebraska.
1901 Aug 17 Death: Eliza Moore Walker passed away at the home of her son (Cooley Walker) in Shelton, Nebraska.
