Logan Bell, age 79, died January 1, 1964. Burial was in Bell Cemetery north of Elkhart, Anderson County, Texas. He was born November 28, 1884 in Texas to Uriah and Nancy L. Bell. In 1900, at age 15, he was living in Elkhart with his parents and older brother, Owen. In 1910, at age 25, he was single and still living in Elkhart. He married Jean Lois Davis in Anderson County on October 23, 1913. In 1920, they were living in Stephens County, Oklahoma with their son, Glenn Curtis, and nephew, Jasper A. Bell. In 1930, they were in California and had two more children, Doris and Logan Jr. Lois's mother, Mary J. Davis, was living with them.

Logan Bell Dies In California

Funeral services for Logan Bell of Manhattan Beach, California, formerly of Anderson County, will be held sometime Tuesday in Hassell & Foster Chapel. Burial will be in the Bell Cemetery.

Native of Anderson County, Mr. Bell died Wednesday morning in Manhattan Beach following a long illness. Before moving to California several years ago he ____ in Anderson County. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors are two sons, Logan Bell Jr. of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and (Glen) Curtis Bell of Oregon; a daughter, Miss Doris Bell of Manhattan Beach; 5 grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Upon arrival from California late Saturday night, the body will be at the funeral home until after services.
