Sidnee Stephens, 15, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010.
Sidnee was born May 15, 1995, in Murphysboro, a daughter to Jason Tritschler and Tracy Stephens.
She was a sophomore at Pinckneyville Community High School and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pinckneyville. She enjoyed making candy bracelets, listening to music, going to concerts, playing pool, riding 4-wheelers, fishing, swimming, camping and enjoying the outdoors. Sidnee will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Tracy Stephens (Randy Richmond) of Pinckneyville; father, Jason Tritschler of Du Quoin; step mother, Connie Tritschler of Pinckneyville; four brothers and sisters, Zach "Bubby" Jeremiah of Steeleville, Dakota Wall of Pinckneyville, Tristin Tritschler of Zeigler and Taylor Tritschler of Zeigler; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Mary Ruth of Du Quoin; maternal grandfather, Larry Stephens of Du Quoin; maternal step grandmother, Vicki Dale of Du Quoin; paternal great-grandmother, Mauna Loa Bailey of Pinckneyville; paternal great great-grandmother, Loa Runion of Pinckneyville; maternal great-grandmother, Earlene Stephens of Du Quoin; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Waltemate; her German Shepard, Declyn; two special friends, Stacy Hackworth and Tim Wall; and numerous dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carol Waltemate; one great-grandfather, Gene Prow Stephens; and paternal great-grandfather, Donald Bailey.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, in Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, with Rob Mathis officiating. Private interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church.

She was a victim of homicide.
