Eloise M. Jones, 73, of Lincoln, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center, in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Lincoln Christian Church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Tuscola, to George and Nellie Stanley Birk.
She married Lawrence "Larry" Jones in Lincoln on Aug. 17, 1947. She owned and operated Eloise's Beauty Shop in Lincoln for 43 years.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Sonjo (and Gary) McAfee and Marla (and Greg) Shanle; three grandsons, Jay (and Heather) McAfee, Jeff McAfee and Kevin Shanle; one granddaughter, Carrie Shanle; one great-grandson, Nathan McAfee; three brothers, Hobert Birk, Gilbert Birk and Jimmie "Pete" Birk; and two sisters, Patricia Calvo and Linda Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one sister and one brother.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian Church, the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
