Geneva Jones Winters, age 84, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, August 15, 2001. She was born in Little Rock.

She later graduated from Conway Baptist College receiving her Masters degree in education. She taught elementary school but enjoyed most the Kindergarten level of which she devoted most of her time, retiring after twenty five of service, in 1981.

Geneva was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teacher's Sorority, Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority, and a member of the Arkansas and Little Rock Retired Teacher's Association.

She is survived by her son Larry F. Winters and wife LeAnne of Maumelle, Arkansas, 2 grandchildren, Drew and Stacey Winters, 5 nieces Sue Bustion of Rolla, Missouri, Ann Clark of Toronto, Canada, Ellen Long of Fripp Island, South Carolina, Carol Holcomb of Little Rock, one nephew Paul Jolly of Bethesda, Maryland. and a longtime friend and caregiver Gladys Adair.

There will be a visitation with family Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Ruebel Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service Friday at 10 A.M. at the funeral home chapel officiated by Dr. Rex Horne. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church or the Geneva Winters Scholarship Fund At the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
