Don't cry for me,
I'm finally free.
The pain is no longer here,
I can play like the deer.

Don't cry for me,
I'm a bird in the tree.
The songs that I sing,
A smile for you may they bring.

Don't cry for me,
I'm the waves upon the sea.
Sometimes wild and harsh,
and sometimes quiet as a marsh.

Don't cry for me,
Heart and mind are the key.
Watching over you from a far,
I'll be wherever you are.

Grandma passed away on Sunday July 25, 2010. Her pain finally over and released into the arms who have gone before her. She is finally with her siblings and her husband again. She endured a great deal in her final months and fought a great battle. Though my heart is breaking at the loss of her, my mind keeps saying she is finally happy again.
Jeannette Eva Qualls Heeding "Pat", was born to Merdie Lee Qualls and Martha Eva Newcomer Qualls. She was the fifth and youngest child. She dearly loved her siblings and they all remained very close until the time of each of their deaths. She married Paul Heeding on Feb. 1, 1944 in San Francisco, CA. He preceded her in death on December 10, 2003. They both passed away in Sandy, Utah. She was able to remain at her home until her death. She was cared for by her son mostly, and her daughters, and her caregivers (who loved her and cared a great deal for her). Grandma had three kids and seven grandkids, ten great grandkids, and one great great grandchild who is set to make her appearance in November 2010. We will miss her and love her all the rest of our days. Former co-owner of Qualls market of Salt Lake City, the store was sold in 1986.
Obituary printed in Salt Lake Tribune on August 1, 2010
