Lexington - Mrs. Caroline Amick, widow of Noah Amick, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Schneider, about four miles west of Lexington Thursday monring at 10 o'clock, her death being unexpected to her family and friends. She was a devout Christian, having been a member of St. Thomas' Lutheran Church since early womanhood and always took and [sic] active interest in religious affairs. Her husband died many years ago. She was the mother of nine children. Her sons are: Luther Amick, John Amick, Elijah Amick and Silas Amick; the daughters, Mrs. Wesley Bickley, Mrs. Dalton Boozer and Mrs. C. M. Schneider, with whom she resided in recent years. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held from St. Thomas' Lutheran Church in the Dutch Fork Friday afternoon, after which the body was laid to rest in the church cemetery beside the grave of her husband. © The State, Columbia, SC, 10 Feb 1918
