Edward Lawson Fish, 82, of 1310 Baldridge Drive, Johnson City, Tennessee, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center following an illness. A native of Franklin, NC, son of the late Cassie and Anna Jarrett Fish, Mr. Fish spent his childhood in Cocke County before moving to Johnson City in 1946. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U. S. Army, a member of the Stoney Creek Church of Christ and former member of the D.A.V. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Hall and Verna Wood and a granddaughter, Jennifer N. Fish.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Huff Fish, of the home, a son, Eddie Fish, of Elizabethton, a daughter, Dorothy Fish, of Johnson City, a sister, Nina Rhinehart, of Asheville, NC and two grandsons; T. J. Fish, of Tavares, FL, James C. Fish, of Johnson City (presently serving in Iraq) and a granddaughter, Katie Honaker, of Johnson City, three great grandchildren; Mikey Perkins, Taylor Bisanti-Fish and Midajah Scalf, several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Wesley Simons, Minister.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2005 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
