Carl C. Freeman 1994 Halifax Herald

Carl C. Freeman, 81, Greenfield, Queens County, died March 17, 1994, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in North Brookfield, he was a son of the late Edward and Annie (Johnson) Freeman. He served overseas with the West Novies during the Second World War. Following the war, he was employed with Harry Freeman and Son Lumber Mill, retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Hollow Log Gun Club and a member of Greenfield United Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Joan (Mrs. Frank Jeremy), Molega; Lynne (Mrs. Richard Wolfe), Greenfield; four sons, Dolan, Kingston; Roger, Hope, B.C.; Eric, Molega; Randall, Westfield; sister, Mrs. Thelma Swinamer, Berwick; half-sister, Irene (Mrs. Emerson Veinot), Waterville; half-brother, John Mosher, Ontario; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Myrtis Veinot; brother, John. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, where a Legion service will be 7 p.m. Sunday and where funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will be in Pinerest Cemetery, Greenfield. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Queens General Hospital Foundation, The Lung Association, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
