Bernice McNerney moved to Arizona in 1928 from Carthage, Missouri. Her 2 sisters Cecil and Olive both lived in Arizona. Her mother Margaret also joined them to live there.

MISS MCNERNEY DIES IN ARIZONA;
Miss Bernice McNerney, R.N., 83, Flagstaff, Arizona died early Sunday in Flagstaff.
Born October 5, 1885 at Carthage, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin A. McNerney. A 1902 graduate of Carthage high school, she attended Drury College two years before entering St. Luke's School of Nursing, St. Louis, where she graduated in 1917.
She went to Washington, D. C. where she was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In 1928 she went to Flagstaff where she was in the nursing profession until her retirement in 1959.
