LANCASTER, Kan. — Louis Bowser, 89, died unexpectedly Tuesday night, Feb.. 9, 1988, at a hospital in Atchison.
he was born in Arrington, Kan. He attended school in Arrington, Belvue and Monrovia, Kan., grade schools.
Mr. Bowser was a farmer in his younger years. He became a road-grader operator for the city of Atchison and worked for more than 40 years before retiring in 1965.
On April 27, 1938, he married the former Anna L. Jackson in Holton, Kan. She preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 1984.
He was a member of the Cummings Christian Church. Survivors are a daughter, Shirley Shaver, Atchison; three sisters, Dorothy Eads, Atchison, Elsie White, Atchison, Elizabeth McCullough, San Diego, Calif.; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at ehe Sawin-Dyer Chapel in Atchison. Burial will be in the Monrovia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
