Mrs. Hattie Viola Brown Meckley, 80, wife of Curtis S. Meckley, 211 South Street, Hanover, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at her home. A daughter of the late William and Eleanora Crouse Brown, she was a member of St. Bartholomew's church. She was twice married. Her first husband, Claude Kindig, died June 11, 1925. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Lloyd Kindig, Third street, McSherrystown; three step-children, Cletus Meckley, Philadelphia; Mrs. Curvin Caler and Curtis Meckley, Jr. , both of Hanover; four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Randolph Bechtel, York; Mrs. Milton Yingling, Manchester, Md.; Mrs Charles Founfelter, Littlestown; Maurice Brown, Hanover; Oscar Brown, address unknown, and Mrs. Joseph Lawrence, Gettysburg.
Funeral services Thursday at 1 a.m. at the William A. Feiser funeral home, Hanover, by her pastor, the Rev. Harvey M. Light. Burial in St. Bartholomew's Cemetery.
