Michael J. Bookman, 57, a resident of Pulaski, died Sunday at his home. He was born January 4, 1953, in Syracuse, the son of David and Helen Forger Bookman. He was a resident of Pulaski since 1980, previously living in Syracuse. Michael graduated from Westhill High School in 1971. He was employed as a sales manager in the automotive business for 38 years. He was last employed by FX Caprara. He also worked for the Davidson and Fuccillo auto companies. Michael was a member and president of the VFW #7289 Auxiliary, Pulaski, and the Sandy Pond Sportsmen Club. Surviving: former spouse, Jeanne Soule of Pulaski; one son, Bradley Bookman of Pulaski; two daughters, Holly Bookman of Liverpool and Brittany Bookman of Pulaski; two brothers, Harold of Oswego and Mark of Massena; his mother, Helen of Syracuse; and his golden retriever, Carrie. Michael is predeceased by one sister, Kathleen Jaquin. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral, at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
