John Sallee was the son of John Sallee Sr. and Mary Clark. I find he was the oldest of 5 sons born to this couple. His brothers are listed as: Nathan, Jordan, James, and Issac.
John and his father were direct descendants of Abraham Sallee who came to America from France in 1700. Abraham first settled in New York City, and then traveled to Virginia. Abraham is responsible for the majority of the Sallee descendants in the United States today.
Footstone was buried face down by his wife's stone.
