"Wilbert Rogers taught school in winter and studied law in summer from 1889 to 1896, when he was admitted to the bar in Ohio. He practiced law at Lima from 1897 to 1922. Wilbert Rogers was the City Solicitor for the city of Lima from 1908 to 1911. In 1922 he was made General Counsel for the Federal Land Bank of Louisville where he stayed until 1928. During his administration the bank loaned 85 million dollars to 28 thousand farmers in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. He brought a local title company in Louisville from obscurity to be known as one of the best title companies in the nation. He was known and respected by all title men of consequence in the nation and his company operated in nearly every state in the union. Its customers were usually large money lending institutions, which deemed a guaranteed title for each loan. The United States was also a valued customer. His law practice always primarily consisted of real estate. He lived in Louisville, Kentucky from 1922 at least until 1941."
